IUPAC and photochemistry organizations

The IUPAC Symposium on Photochemistry is endorsed by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry. IUPAC serves the international scientific endeavor in the dual function of a fundamental science and mission-oriented Union. The Union is in a unique position to contribute to the central interdisciplinary chemical sciences.

Within the IUPAC organization, the sub-committee on Photochemistry covers the field of photochemistry.

International professional organizations in the field of photochemistry are the European Photochemistry Association, the Inter-American Photochemical Society, and the Asian Photochemistry Association.
The EPA will hold its General Assembly during the IUPAC Symposium on Photochemistry.
