Venue and travel
Please take note: Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is very busy at the moment. Check the latest info on the website, and plan your journey accordingly.
The info is updated daily: we really urge you to keep track of it and follow the advice, to make sure your journey to and from the conference is as smooth as possible.
The conference will be held from 17-22 July 2022 at the Roeterseilandcampus of the University of Amsterdam, located in the city centre and 30 minutes from Schiphol Airport.
The Roeterseiland Campus is an open city campus designed to offer future-proof teaching and research facilities.
Existing buildings around the Nieuwe Achtergracht have been recently renovated in order to ensure compliance with modern research and education requirements and needs. The outdoor area has also been redesigned recently and offers theatres, studios, restaurants and cafés.

From Schiphol Airport trains leave to Amsterdam approximately 6 times per hour. The train station is located underneath the arrival hall at the airport, tickets can be bought on the spot. For information on travelling by train and prices you can visit the National Railways (NS) website:
The conference location is easily accessible by public transport. A large metro station, Weesperplein, is located within walking distance. The public transport within Amsterdam (buses, trams and metros) is arranged by GVB. Please consult their website for travelling and pricing info:
As Amsterdam is a dense city, we strongly advise you not to come to the conference by car. The conference venue does not have parking spaces, and parking in the close vincinity is very expensive. If you do plan on driving, we recommend a parking space at the edges of the city, especially Transferium Amsterdam Arena: https://www.parkeren-amsterdam.com/transferium-arena. From here you can take a direct metro (10 mins) to the conference.
